Additional information.
Dibbes was a stray cat who, at one point in time, decided to adopt a human being. On his quest he found a Lady living by herself and found her that much sympathetic and asked her if she would like to be adopted by him. Dibbles´ proposal moved her truly, so there was no other way than the Lady being adopted. From this day forward Dibbes stayed at her home. Quickly he arranged his favourite spot in the house, which was one of the highest lookouts in the house; there he liked to observe everything going on in his surroundings. A Thousand and One adventures he lived in this home until his time had come and cat Dibbes left.

The Lady, who he had adopted, in his loving memory and to eternize him, had this portrait made. The work in question remains in possession of the Lady, who had been adopted by Cat Dibbes.
